September 15th is just around the corner and we had a record-setting Chamber Sponsorship of $5,000 covering all the costs to run the day (with the exception of the Town Highway Department and Police)!

This year, the Tavern Day committee being chaired once again by David Goshdigian has some great plans that will include Food Trucks by the Tavern, another Farmers Markets, Historical Re-enactors & more!  Just read on for what we are looking for this year, including our first ask for the primary Tavern Day Sponsor.

Let our Chamber once again lead the way in support of Tavern Day and all that community fellowship and fun that it will bring!

We are still very much involved in running the Business Expo and, most importantly, in getting Tavern Day Sponsors like we have done for many, many years.  This year’s deadline to make printed materials and to have ample digital promotion time is Friday, August 30th at 5 pm, but the sooner you can sponsor the sooner we can promote your generosity!  Thank you!

As you can see from the image, your logo and name will be prominently displayed (most likely multiple times through the October newsletter and social posts):

  • Day of event Signage
  • Day of event Program & Map
  • In our Chamber News feed/website
  • In our Newsletter
  • On our Facebook page

If you are the primary Tavern Day Sponsor, even more signage at the main entrances and several larger signs placed where they will be  very visible to the thousands that will attend this day!

The Sponsorship Levels

Here are the Sponsorship Levels for this year’s Tavern Day, which will be held on September 15th from 11 am until 4 pm.

Primary Tavern Day Sponsor – Thank you to Torrington Savings Bank!

  • This Sponsorship is to recognize our lead sponsor for the day and this sponsorship level gets you:
    • Mention in all printed materials and marketing promotion in the following manner:  “Burlington Tavern Day presented by Name of Sponsor
    • 100 Entrance Tickets to hand out to clients, employees and/or vendors (a $200 value!).
    • Signage at the main entrances (two last year) promoting your sponsorship
    • Display space in the gazebo on the Town Green
    • Two (2) large banner signs to be placed near the Food Court and Kids Zone, where the bulk of our visitors will be enjoying activities, food and entertainment all day!
  • We are asking for one $2,000 Sponsorship, but are open to other configurations.  Feel free to contact Kerry Brash, Chamber President or Dave Goshdigian, Tavern Day Committee Chair, to discuss if interested (click button to the right or below if on a phone!).

Celebrate Burlington Sponsors

  • This is an “overarching” sponsorship to help offset the costs associated with running the day’s events and to build a fund to use for future Tavern Day events.
  • We are asking for $500 Sponsorships, but can accept less with a suggested minimum of $275.  Any amount truly helps.
    • Your company logo will be prominently featured in the Sponsorship Garden (see picture) as well as another location (2 signs total).
  • We will accept multiple Sponsors for this category.

Tavern Day Fun Day Sponsorship

  • This sponsorship is another “overarching” sponsorship to help offset the costs associated with running the day’s events and to build a fund to use for future Tavern Day events.
  • We are asking for $250 Sponsorships, but can accept less with a suggested minimum of $175.  Any amount truly helps.
    • Your company logo will be prominently featured in the Sponsorship Garden (see picture, single sign).
  • We will accept multiple Sponsors for this category.

Tavern Day Supporter Sponsorship

  • This sponsorship is another “overarching” sponsorship to help offset the costs associated with running the day’s events and to build a fund to use for future Tavern Day events.
  • We are asking for $150 Sponsorships, but can accept less with a suggested minimum of $100.  Any amount truly helps.
    • Your company logo will be prominently featured in the Sponsorship Garden (see picture, single sign).
  • We will accept multiple Sponsors for this category.

Kid’s Corner Fun Zone Sponsors

  • There will be a fun and rather impressive section of Tavern Day devoted to fun for kids of varying ages.  With the help of several local groups, it will be well attended and fun.
  • We are asking for $500 Sponsorships, but can accept less with a suggested minimum of $200.  Any amount truly helps.
  • We will accept multiple Sponsors for this category.

Kid’s Corner Activity Sponsor

  • For those that wish to contribute at a smaller level, here is a great way to be recognized with a $100 Sponsorship.  Your donation will sponsor one of the following activities:
    • Giant Jenga
    • Cornhole
    • Giant Connect 4
    • Giant Bubbles
    • Face Painting

    • Fun with Flubber

  • We are asking for ten (10) $100 Sponsorships, one for each event listed.  Your company will have your logo prominently displayed nearby on our signage (1 sign).

What the Sponsorships Cover

One of the big questions I get asked is “what is our sponsorship going to go towards?”

Great question!  We need to cover both entertainment costs as well as the “boring stuff” required to run an event.  So here’s what we are planning on:

  • We will be having Delancey’s Brigade , a historical Revolutionary War Reenactor group,  joining us again this year.
  • The tent to cover the band stage so the featured band (TBD) can play if the weather is iffy. Thank you to People’s United Bank for being the primary sponsor of the Band!
  • Most of the tables you see all around during Tavern Day.
  • The facilities needed for all our patrons, as well as our handicapped visitors.
  • The printing of all our sponsorship signage, the Tavern Day programs and associated hardware costs.
  • Help defray the sizable cost of the Town of Burlington Highway Department and State Police required for this event.  A HUGE thank you to Scott Tharau and his dedicated crew for the planning, pre-setup, day of setup and day of tear down with our volunteer teams that always step up as well (LSM Crew, LSM Mills Club, Boy Scout Troop 23 to name some regulars).
