Learn More About Us

The Burlington Chamber of Commerce is a member organization comprised of local businesspeople and led by a volunteer Board of Directors. We strive to connect the Burlington business community with other like-minded businesspeople to expand their business partnerships beyond the borders of our town.  Our marketing committee continuously develops new promotional tools that help showcase our members’ products and services.

The Burlington Chamber is affiliated with the Central CT Chambers of Commerce, and while we are an independent Chamber, that partnership affords our membership a broader scope of networking opportunities in the area towns of Bristol, Farmington, Plainville, Plymouth, and Wolcott. These events include Business After Hours and Coffee Connections networking, grand-opening ribbon-cutting celebrations, and educational Lunch & Learn seminars.

Additionally, we strive to connect the greater Burlington community with our member businesses through sponsorships, community service, and civic events. Our Chamber works with the town’s Public Works Department to showcase the town center during the holiday season with an array of beautifully lit Holiday Trees. Burlington’s annual Tavern Day fall festival is a collaboration between our Chamber and the Tavern Day Committee. Each year, the Burlington Chamber is dedicated to offering scholarships to the Lewis S. Mills Scholarship Fund.

Our Mission

It is the purpose of the Burlington Chamber to advance the general welfare and prosperity of Burlington, Connecticut so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall grow and thrive.

History

The Burlington Chamber of Commerce was founded on March 12, 1987, after a group of civic-minded men and women came together to create the first Board of Directors, elect officers, and develop a set of By-Laws. Their mission then was the same as ours is now – to advance the welfare and prosperity of Burlington, Connecticut.

We invite all companies doing business in the greater Burlington, CT region to join our Chamber and help continue to write history as we fulfill our mission to the Burlington community.
